# Dojo vs BonAppi

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dojo at 58% against BonAppi's 5%. Dojo also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 6 months). BonAppi's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dojo holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dojo has 211 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Dojo's written reviews are positive against 5% of BonAppi's.

Dojo ships an update every 4 weeks, BonAppi every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
