# kitUP vs eMekdep

The clearest difference is rating: kitUP at 4.3 against eMekdep's 3.1. kitUP also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 17) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). eMekdep's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 30) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. kitUP sells 28 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. eMekdep asks for nothing beyond the download.

kitUP holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: kitUP has 1.4K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of kitUP's written reviews are positive against 44% of eMekdep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

kitUP ships an update fortnightly, eMekdep monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
