# Coding Express LEGO® Education vs Expeditions Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Coding Express LEGO® Education at 4.2 against Expeditions Pro's 3.0. Coding Express LEGO® Education also leads on ratings volume (257 vs 11) and update cadence (every 8 months vs every 18 months). Expeditions Pro's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Coding Express LEGO® Education holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coding Express LEGO® Education has 257 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Coding Express LEGO® Education's written reviews are positive against 75% of Expeditions Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coding Express LEGO® Education ships an update every 8 months, Expeditions Pro every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
