# Gies Groups vs Kashew

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gies Groups at free against Kashew's freemium. Gies Groups also leads on ratings volume (70 vs 11). Kashew's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kashew holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gies Groups has 70 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gies Groups ships an update every 3 weeks, Kashew every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
