# UMRC vs 5Play

The clearest difference is update cadence: 5Play at fortnightly against UMRC's every 3 months. UMRC's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UMRC ships an update every 3 months, 5Play fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
