# PersoPhoto vs ScriptCam

The clearest difference is price: ScriptCam at Free against PersoPhoto's $0.99. ScriptCam also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). PersoPhoto's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (46 vs 4). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ScriptCam is free to download; PersoPhoto costs $0.99 up front. ScriptCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. PersoPhoto asks for nothing beyond the download.

ScriptCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PersoPhoto has 46 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of PersoPhoto's written reviews are positive against 50% of ScriptCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PersoPhoto ships an update every 3 months, ScriptCam every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
