# Teleprompter.com vs FloatText

The clearest difference is monetization model: Teleprompter.com at free with in-app purchases against FloatText's subscription. Teleprompter.com also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (29K vs 332). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter.com sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FloatText sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Teleprompter.com against 4.7 for FloatText. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter.com has 29K ratings behind it against 332, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Teleprompter.com's written reviews are positive against 86% of FloatText's.

Teleprompter.com ships an update every 9 days, FloatText every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
