# Speed Typer vs Nitro Tap Lite

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Nitro Tap Lite at none against Speed Typer's 3. Nitro Tap Lite also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Speed Typer's advantage is ratings volume (6.7K vs 13) and review sentiment (83% vs 67%). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Typer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Nitro Tap Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nitro Tap Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Typer has 6.7K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Speed Typer's written reviews are positive against 67% of Nitro Tap Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
