# Typing Speed Test vs My FileManager

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Typing Speed Test at none against My FileManager's 3. Typing Speed Test also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). My FileManager's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 6). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My FileManager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Typing Speed Test asks for nothing beyond the download.

My FileManager holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My FileManager has 17K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Typing Speed Test's written reviews are positive against 61% of My FileManager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Typing Speed Test ships an update every 4 months, My FileManager fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
