# VOA English Learning vs Lingofor.me

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lingofor.me at none against VOA English Learning's 3. Lingofor.me also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 52%). VOA English Learning's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 10). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VOA English Learning sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Lingofor.me asks for nothing beyond the download.

VOA English Learning holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VOA English Learning has 2.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of VOA English Learning's written reviews are positive against 75% of Lingofor.me's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
