# ViGuide vs DuctCalc.Ca

The clearest difference is rating: ViGuide at 4.5 against DuctCalc.Ca's 1.9. ViGuide also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). DuctCalc.Ca's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (11.3 vs 16.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DuctCalc.Ca sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. ViGuide asks for nothing beyond the download.

ViGuide holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ViGuide has 208 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of ViGuide's written reviews are positive against 50% of DuctCalc.Ca's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ViGuide ships an update every 5 weeks, DuctCalc.Ca every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
