# Evergreens Salad vs Kitanda

The clearest difference is ads: Kitanda at none against Evergreens Salad's shown. Kitanda also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). Evergreens Salad's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 29%) and ratings volume (3.2K vs 207). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Evergreens Salad against 4.8 for Kitanda. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evergreens Salad has 3.2K ratings behind it against 207, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Evergreens Salad's written reviews are positive against 29% of Kitanda's.

Evergreens Salad ships an update every 4 months, Kitanda every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
