# Cyph vs Typhos

The clearest difference is rating: Typhos at 5.0 against Cyph's 3.1. Cyph's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cyph sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $68.99 per month and Typhos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Typhos holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cyph has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
