# Flow vs Coast

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flow at 1.8K against Coast's 5. Flow also leads on device support (5 vs 1). Coast's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Coast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flow has 1.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Flow's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coast's.

Flow ships an update every 4 weeks, Coast weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
