# Flow vs Pane

The clearest difference is price: Flow at Free against Pane's $2.99. Flow also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and device support (5 vs 2). Pane's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (daily vs every 4 weeks). On ads there is nothing between them.

Flow is free to download; Pane costs $2.99 up front. Flow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Pane asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pane holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flow has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flow ships an update every 4 weeks, Pane daily. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
