# Foco vs Focus Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Focus Timer at 4.9 against Foco's 4.5. Foco's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Focus Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Foco's written reviews are positive against 96% of Focus Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Foco ships an update every 11 days, Focus Timer every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
