# ReadingIQ vs ZigZu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ZigZu at 100% against ReadingIQ's 48%. ZigZu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). ReadingIQ's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadingIQ sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ZigZu sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ZigZu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ReadingIQ has 22K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of ReadingIQ's written reviews are positive against 100% of ZigZu's.

ReadingIQ ships an update every 2 months, ZigZu fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
