# Hearty Journal vs Sticky notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hearty Journal at 92% against Sticky notes's 50%. Hearty Journal also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Sticky notes's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hearty Journal sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.49 per month and Sticky notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hearty Journal ships an update every 3 months, Sticky notes every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
