# Notes Writer vs Kilonotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kilonotes at 88% against Notes Writer's 45%. Kilonotes also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). Notes Writer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Writer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Kilonotes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kilonotes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes Writer has 7.3K ratings behind it against 864, so its average is the more settled of the two.
