# Notes Writer vs IV Hybrid

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notes Writer at every 4 days against IV Hybrid's fortnightly. IV Hybrid's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Writer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and IV Hybrid sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes Writer ships an update every 4 days, IV Hybrid fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
