# DriverMonitor vs LapsHub

The clearest difference is monetization model: LapsHub at freemium against DriverMonitor's subscription. LapsHub also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). DriverMonitor's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DriverMonitor sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and LapsHub sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DriverMonitor against 5.0 for LapsHub. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 19 and 7 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

DriverMonitor ships an update every 6 weeks, LapsHub every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
