# Focuster vs Motion

The clearest difference is monetization model: Focuster at free with in-app purchases against Motion's subscription. Focuster also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 42%). Motion's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 6). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focuster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Motion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Motion holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motion has 1.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Focuster's written reviews are positive against 42% of Motion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
