# Train Effective vs Kinoli

The clearest difference is rating: Train Effective at 4.8 against Kinoli's 4.0. Train Effective also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Kinoli's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Train Effective sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Kinoli sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Train Effective holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Train Effective has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Train Effective ships an update every 3 weeks, Kinoli every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
