# Flight Simulator Advanced vs Airplane Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Airplane Pro at 4.8 against Flight Simulator Advanced's 4.4. Airplane Pro also leads on ratings volume (44K vs 9.1K) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Flight Simulator Advanced's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Simulator Advanced sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Airplane Pro sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Airplane Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9.1K and 44K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Flight Simulator Advanced's written reviews are positive against 77% of Airplane Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flight Simulator Advanced ships an update fortnightly, Airplane Pro every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
