# War Council vs FaB Scanner

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: War Council at none against FaB Scanner's 5. War Council also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). FaB Scanner's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaB Scanner sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. War Council asks for nothing beyond the download.

FaB Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 114 and 110 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of War Council's written reviews are positive against 40% of FaB Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
