# Ambient Weather Network vs PWS Console

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PWS Console at 100% against Ambient Weather Network's 48%. PWS Console also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Ambient Weather Network's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and chart position (#52 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ambient Weather Network sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PWS Console sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PWS Console holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ambient Weather Network has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
