# VetTechPrep vs Visible Cat

The clearest difference is rating: VetTechPrep at 3.6 against Visible Cat's 1.0. VetTechPrep also leads on ratings volume (39 vs 1). Visible Cat's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VetTechPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visible Cat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VetTechPrep holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VetTechPrep has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VetTechPrep ships an update every 3 months, Visible Cat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
