# STIRR TV vs NextStream

The clearest difference is rating: NextStream at 5.0 against STIRR TV's 3.1. NextStream also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). STIRR TV's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (440 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NextStream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: STIRR TV has 440 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

STIRR TV ships an update every 2 months, NextStream every 17 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
