# Odinn vs Lens Scan

Odinn and Lens Scan both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Odinn's written reviews are positive against 27% of Lens Scan's. Odinn also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 16) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.6). Lens Scan's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 11) and chart position (#40 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lens Scan sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Odinn asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lens Scan holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lens Scan has 20K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Odinn's written reviews are positive against 27% of Lens Scan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Odinn ships an update every 2 weeks, Lens Scan fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
