# Lucky Wheel vs Magic_8

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Magic_8 at none against Lucky Wheel's 1. Magic_8 also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%). Lucky Wheel's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 6) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lucky Wheel sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Magic_8 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lucky Wheel holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lucky Wheel has 1.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Lucky Wheel's written reviews are positive against 100% of Magic_8's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lucky Wheel ships an update monthly, Magic_8 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
