# DJI Mimo vs Blackmagic Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: DJI Mimo at weekly against Blackmagic Camera's monthly. DJI Mimo also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Blackmagic Camera's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blackmagic Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23K and 23K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of DJI Mimo's written reviews are positive against 68% of Blackmagic Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DJI Mimo ships an update weekly, Blackmagic Camera monthly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
