# Devotional Bible vs Message Bible (MSG) Audio*

The clearest difference is rating: Message Bible (MSG) Audio* at 4.8 against Devotional Bible's 3.5. Message Bible (MSG) Audio* also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 17). Devotional Bible's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 42 months). Both are free to download. Devotional Bible sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per year and Message Bible (MSG) Audio* sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Message Bible (MSG) Audio* holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Message Bible (MSG) Audio* has 2.9K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Devotional Bible's written reviews are positive against 46% of Message Bible (MSG) Audio*'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
