# UTRGV vs HECM Alert

The clearest difference is update cadence: HECM Alert at every 3 weeks against UTRGV's every 6 weeks. HECM Alert also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UTRGV ships an update every 6 weeks, HECM Alert every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
