# Milanote vs Vane

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vane at 100% against Milanote's 60%. Vane also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Milanote's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Milanote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.49 per month and Vane sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vane holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Milanote has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Milanote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vane's.

Milanote ships an update every 5 days, Vane weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
