# Home by ShowingTime vs CHCC

Home by ShowingTime and CHCC both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of CHCC's written reviews are positive against 40% of Home by ShowingTime's. Home by ShowingTime's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Home by ShowingTime holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home by ShowingTime has 16K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Home by ShowingTime's written reviews are positive against 100% of CHCC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Home by ShowingTime ships an update every 2 months, CHCC every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
