# Weel vs Hostplus

The clearest difference is rating: Hostplus at 4.9 against Weel's 3.0. Hostplus also leads on ratings volume (80 vs 2). Weel's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hostplus holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hostplus has 80 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Weel's written reviews are positive against 50% of Hostplus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weel ships an update every 6 days, Hostplus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
