# Sphere vs Focus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sphere at none against Focus's 1. Sphere also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Focus's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sphere asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sphere ships an update every 2 months, Focus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
