# Meeto vs Video Chat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Meeto at none against Video Chat's 8. Meeto also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Video Chat's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Chat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Meeto asks for nothing beyond the download.

Meeto holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Chat has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Meeto ships an update every 3 months, Video Chat monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
