# SharpSide vs EdgHouse

The clearest difference is rating: SharpSide at 4.6 against EdgHouse's 4.1. SharpSide also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). EdgHouse's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 32%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EdgHouse sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. SharpSide asks for nothing beyond the download.

SharpSide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SharpSide has 933 ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of SharpSide's written reviews are positive against 58% of EdgHouse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SharpSide ships an update monthly, EdgHouse every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
