# TAROM vs Dan Air

The clearest difference is rating: TAROM at 2.4 against Dan Air's 2.0. TAROM also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (18 vs 3). Dan Air's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 16%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TAROM holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TAROM has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of TAROM's written reviews are positive against 33% of Dan Air's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TAROM ships an update every 3 months, Dan Air every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
