# Chargeway vs EV Connect Canada

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EV Connect Canada at none against Chargeway's 2. EV Connect Canada also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 48%) and device support (3 vs 1). Chargeway's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chargeway sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. EV Connect Canada asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chargeway holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chargeway has 2.5K ratings behind it against 148, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Chargeway's written reviews are positive against 63% of EV Connect Canada's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chargeway ships an update every 3 weeks, EV Connect Canada every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
