# Taco Maya vs Eggholic

The clearest difference is rating: Taco Maya at 4.6 against Eggholic's 3.3. Taco Maya also leads on ratings volume (297 vs 14) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Eggholic's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 38%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Taco Maya holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taco Maya has 297 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Taco Maya's written reviews are positive against 78% of Eggholic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Taco Maya ships an update every 8 months, Eggholic monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
