# Taco Maya vs Phlavz

The clearest difference is rating: Phlavz at 5.0 against Taco Maya's 4.6. Phlavz also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 8 months). Taco Maya's advantage is ratings volume (297 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Phlavz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taco Maya has 297 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Taco Maya ships an update every 8 months, Phlavz every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
