# Attics vs SetMate

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Attics at none against SetMate's 3. Attics also leads on ratings volume (465 vs 1). SetMate's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SetMate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Attics asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Attics against 5.0 for SetMate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Attics has 465 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Attics ships an update every 3 months, SetMate every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
