# Tech vs Tree Height Meter

The clearest difference is rating: Tech at 3.0 against Tree Height Meter's 1.0. Tech also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Tree Height Meter's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tech holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tech has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tech ships an update every 11 days, Tree Height Meter every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
