# Clock Face vs Simple Clock

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Clock Face at 17K against Simple Clock's 303. Simple Clock's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 61%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clock Face sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Clock sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Clock Face against 4.5 for Simple Clock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clock Face has 17K ratings behind it against 303, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Clock Face's written reviews are positive against 75% of Simple Clock's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
