# Clock Face vs McClockface

The clearest difference is ads: McClockface at none against Clock Face's shown. Clock Face's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 357) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clock Face sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and McClockface sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Clock Face against 4.5 for McClockface. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clock Face has 17K ratings behind it against 357, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Clock Face's written reviews are positive against 63% of McClockface's.

Clock Face ships an update fortnightly, McClockface every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
