# Clock Face vs Speed Dial Widgets

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speed Dial Widgets at none against Clock Face's 1. Speed Dial Widgets also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 61%). Clock Face's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 190). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clock Face sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Speed Dial Widgets asks for nothing beyond the download.

Clock Face holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clock Face has 17K ratings behind it against 190, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Clock Face's written reviews are positive against 78% of Speed Dial Widgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Clock Face ships an update fortnightly, Speed Dial Widgets every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
