# FLIP vs StudyRank

The clearest difference is rating: StudyRank at 5.0 against FLIP's 4.5. StudyRank also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). FLIP's advantage is ratings volume (896 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FLIP sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per month and StudyRank sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyRank holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FLIP has 896 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of FLIP's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyRank's.

FLIP ships an update fortnightly, StudyRank every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
