# Background Eraser vs Random Raffle Number Generator

The clearest difference is rating: Random Raffle Number Generator at 4.9 against Background Eraser's 3.8. Random Raffle Number Generator also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (88 vs 25). Background Eraser's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Background Eraser sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Random Raffle Number Generator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Random Raffle Number Generator holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 88 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Background Eraser's written reviews are positive against 22% of Random Raffle Number Generator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Background Eraser ships an update every 3 months, Random Raffle Number Generator every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
